Overview

Environmental Senior Project Manager role with 10+ years of experience managing energy infrastructure siting, routing, permitting, and construction compliance projects. Remote workstyle within the Pacific time zone with option to work from multiple California offices. Travel up to 30% for client and internal meetings. Responsibilities

Lead environmental services and strategies for siting, routing, permitting, and construction of electric transmission lines, substations, energy generation projects, and midstream pipelines. Lead business development within the energy sector and contribute to the strategic plan for the Environmental Division in California. Market new and existing clients, establish new leads, expand engagements, and oversee proposal preparation for larger projects. Participate in annual strategic business planning and department planning efforts. Manage multiple projects in various phases and geographic locations, from routing/siting to construction compliance. Coordinate environmental field data collection and preparation of environmental documents and permit applications; liaise with federal, state, and local agencies for permitting. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (engineers, attorneys, planners, GIS analysts, permitting and environmental resource specialists, land agents, construction monitors). Communicate with the public and community stakeholders at hearings and public meetings. Coordinate project scope, budget, schedule, and forecasting with clients; monitor progress and adjustments as needed. Participate in field reviews, project compliance inspections, and site meetings. Required Education/Experience

B.S. or B.A. in Environmental Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field. Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience managing environmental licensing and permitting in California, preferably related to utility operations. Extensive knowledge and demonstrated expertise in NEPA and CEQA. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to define client requirements, manage expectations, and communicate with clients and project staff. Travel up to 30% of the time for client and internal meetings. Preferred Education/Experience

Professional certifications as applicable to technical expertise. Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental licensing and permitting regulations to facilitate energy infrastructure projects in California. Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year. The range is compliant with state and local regulations; salaries are based on knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
