We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Environmental Project Manager with 10+ years of experience managing energy infrastructure siting, routing, permitting, and construction compliance projects in support of our Environmental Project Manager/Planning Department team. This full-time opportunity offers a remote workstyle within the Pacific time zone with the option to work out of multiple offices throughout California. Travel up to 30% of the time for client and internal meetings. Responsibilities
Lead environmental services and strategies to clients involving siting, routing, permitting, and construction of electric transmission lines and substations, energy generation projects, and midstream pipelines. Collaborate with a professional team; strong communication and organizational skills. Lead business development, project leadership, and supervisory experience; contribute to strategic plan in California for the Environmental Division. As a member of our senior project management team, lead business development of energy projects and contribute to the strategic plan in California for the Environmental Division. Responsibilities Include But May Not Be Limited To Market new and existing clients with internal members of the organization and establish new leads. Help expand engagements to develop clientele and win work. Lead proposal preparation for larger projects Participate in and contribute to annual strategic business planning and department plan efforts Manage multiple projects in various phases of development and geographic location ranging from routing/siting phase to construction compliance phase Lead collection of environmental field resource data collection along with preparation of environmental document and permit applications; coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies for project permitting Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams which could include engineers, attorneys, planners, GIS analysts, permitting and environmental resource specialists, land agents, and construction compliance monitors Communicate with the public and community stakeholders at hearings and public meetings. Client coordination including preparing and monitoring project scope, budget, schedule, and forecasting Participate in field reviews, project compliance inspections, and site meetings Required Education/Experience
B.S. or B.A. in Environmental Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban & Regional Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, or related degree Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience managing environmental licensing and permitting in California, preferably related to utility operations Extensive knowledge and demonstrated expertise in NEPA and CEQA is required Strong written and verbal communication skills, defining and understanding client requirements, managing expectations, communicating with clients and project staff Travel up to 30% of the time for client and internal meetings Preferred Education/Experience
