Overview

Sr. Specialist, Quality Engineering (ID: 1165). The role supports Narda-MITEQ’s Quality Management System (QMS) in an AS9100 environment, driving improvements and maintaining compliance. The successful candidate works cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering to meet customer commitments. Essential Functions

Work with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Inspection, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain to address issues daily. Be data driven to assess processes, measure and interpret data to facilitate continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. Report to the Quality Manager on quality issues, metrics, and trends to support Management Reviews and improvement initiatives. Apply strong problem-solving skills and utilize Fishbone and 5-Why analyses. Identify root cause and corrective actions for nonconformances and customer complaints (RCCA). Investigate discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans. Execute Failure Reports, CARs, SCARs and Customer Complaints, driving root cause analysis for permanent fixes. Coordinate Material Review Board (MRB). Serve as guide for external third-party audits, complete FAI reports and support customer source inspection as needed. Serve as primary interface to customers and suppliers for quality-related matters. Evaluate and recommend critical supplier selections and drive supplier continuous improvement, including leading on-site audits, evaluating prototypes, and reviewing/approving supplier corrective actions. Answer questions and provide direction to employees and quality inspectors on quality topics. Execute AS9100 compliance activities (internal/external audits, training). Conduct internal audits and coordinate cross-functional actions to resolve findings via Corrective Actions. Create and document Quality Management System processes. Familiar with dimensional measuring equipment (OGP, handheld measuring devices, etc.). Any additional assignments by your manager. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. Experience working in an AS9100 environment. Working knowledge of microelectronics products. Working knowledge of mechanical blueprints & tolerances. Ability to interface with and communicate effectively with customers, cross-functional teams and executive management. Professional communication and presence. Technical expertise in aerospace engineering principles, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills. Experience building and sustaining an AS9100 Quality Management System. Experience performing AS9102 First Article Inspections. Working knowledge of Mil-Std-883, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001. Experience interpreting customer contract flow-downs. Experience with government projects and DCMA audits. Preferred Additional Skills

Lean Six Sigma experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance. Job Details
