Systems Safety Engineer

Skyryse To support Skyryse missions, any systems, components, software or technology must be developed with the most rigorous processes to ensure they are certifiable by regulatory agencies and are safe to operate. In this role, you will work with the Certification and Systems Engineering teams to ensure Skyryse designs have the right level of integrity to support our safety-driven mission and prepare evidence to demonstrate that capability to the FAA and DERs. Responsibilities
Support application of ARP4761 to the Skyryse system including: System Safety Assessments / Fault Tree Analysis Failure Mode and Effects Analysis Common Mode Assessments Reliability Assessments Failure Mode and Effects Test Planning/Reporting Work with multifunctional teams to implement the safety architecture strategy Support systems and subsystems integration activities to ensure safety, certification & aircraft design requirements and objectives are met Work with technical leads to build and manage HIL/SIL and equipment lab requirements for failure testing Support Continued Operational Safety assessments and fleet reliability after entry into service Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline 3+ years of safety engineering experience Experience developing, writing, and reviewing safety documentation Self starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision to influence organization
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or higher in Aerospace engineering or other related discipline Knowledge in FAR Part 23/25/27/29, ARP 4761/4754A, DO-178/254/160 and other aerospace regulations/processes/standards Understanding of aircraft/vehicle reliability and management principles and processes Familiarity with CAFTA Familiarity working with CAD Excellent communication/coaching skills Great attitude to improve processes to serve people
