Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency during peak service times. Lead, train, and manage a diverse kitchen team; foster a collaborative and positive work environment. Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards, keeping the kitchen clean and organized. Oversee menu planning, cost control, inventory management, and ordering where applicable. Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in an upscale high-volume restaurant setting; Italian cuisine experience is strongly preferred Strong leadership, time-management, and organizational skills; ability to work under pressure Experience in training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff Knowledge of kitchen cost control, inventory management, and ordering Ability to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency during peak service times Commitment to compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards Capability to step in and manage the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef Preferred Background & Skills
Culinary degree or equivalent certification Experience with menu development and creativity in food preparation Familiarity with modern cooking techniques and trends Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure Passion for Italian cuisine and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences Compensation
