Overview
Sr Mobile Test Engineer role with INSPYR Solutions. This is a remote EST contract position for an initial 6-month engagement with extensions. Base pay range: $50.00/hr - $55.00/hr.

Responsibilities
Lead a multidisciplinary project team and mentor junior and mid-level test engineers, providing advice, coaching, and growth opportunities.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Quality and help teams increase productivity and foster innovation.
Lead execution of comprehensive QA strategies and testing processes for mobile applications across iOS and Android.
Develop and maintain automated test coverage for iOS and Android React Native apps using Maestro, Detox, or Appium to enable repeatable, continuous testing.
Develop functional and non-functional tests (accessibility, performance) aligned with acceptance criteria and downstream impact.
Contribute to testing frameworks, pipelines, and tools supporting a shift-left testing approach; enforce quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in code reviews and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and collaborate with DevOps teams.
Stay updated with mobile testing tools and best practices; evaluate applicability to enhance testing efficiency, coverage, and accuracy.
Identify, prioritize, and track defects using Jira; coordinate with development teams for timely resolution and validation of fixes.
Utilize test reporting tools (Zephyr) and test observability tools (ReportPortal, BrowserStack) to generate reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, DevOps, product management) to align quality goals and communicate testing progress and issues.
Champion innovation, collaboration, and excellence in Quality within Digital teams.
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and automated coverage for iOS and Android mobile apps; perform smoke, functional, regression, usability, performance, and security testing.
Hands-on development and maintenance of automated mobile tests for iOS and Android using Maestro, Detox, or Appium; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation; knowledge of Postman or API automation frameworks; using GIT and IDEs (e.g., VSCode) for automation.
Analyze logs, debug issues, and troubleshoot mobile app performance and compatibility concerns; apply QA best practices within Agile environments.
Create and maintain test documentation, defect tracking, and reporting using Jira, Zephyr, and ReportPortal.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in test engineering with automated testing.
Experience testing mobile applications on Android and iOS.
Experience with Maestro, Appium, or similar tooling for automating tests.
Strong experience using JavaScript as a primary coding language.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Experience with API automation frameworks (e.g., Postman) and test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, etc.).
Experience developing and maintaining an automation framework for mobile or web applications.
