Responsibilities
Lead a multidisciplinary Test Engineering team (with support from other domains and as needed from a Manager or Director) to deliver high-quality outcomes for the client and Method.
Mentor junior and mid-level test engineers, providing advice, coaching, and growth opportunities.
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for mobile applications across iOS and Android; contribute to CI/CD pipelines and test dashboards.
Develop functional and non-functional tests (including accessibility and performance) for mobile apps, ensuring coverage of acceptance criteria and downstream errors.
Enforce quality gates in CI/CD pipelines and participate in code reviews to maintain automated test quality and stability.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins; collaborate with DevOps teams to embed testing in the development workflow.
Stay updated on mobile testing tools and best practices; evaluate applicability to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Identify, prioritize, and track defects using Jira; ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes.
Utilize test reporting and observability tools (Zephyr, ReportPortal, BrowserStack) to generate reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, DevOps, product management) to align quality goals and communicate progress.
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and automated coverage for React Native mobile apps on iOS and Android.
Perform various testing types (smoke, functional, regression, usability, performance, security) for mobile apps; troubleshoot issues and analyze logs.
Contribute to test data creation, review test cases for coverage, and design test cases for mobile devices and web browsers where applicable.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in test engineering with automated testing.
Experience testing mobile applications on Android and iOS.
Experience with Maestro, Appium or similar tooling for automating tests; strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for automation.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD); experience with Postman or API automation frameworks.
Experience with Jira or other test management tools; experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks for mobile or web apps.
Understanding of QA methodologies, agile testing, and test documentation practices; ability to communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
Experience with test data setup, code coverage, and quality gates (e.g., SonarQube).
Knowledge of mobile OS (iOS, Android) architectures and testing methodologies, including emulator/simulator and real device testing.
