Overview A Senior Data Analyst to provide thought leadership and be a key partner in driving business decisions by translating complex business questions into actionable insights. You will be a key partner in helping achieve revenue goals in our Growth services as well as creating a best in class experience for customers. You will work on a wide range of projects, from creating dashboards and ad-hoc analyses to leading major analytical initiatives. You should be a proactive problem-solver with a knack for collaborating with stakeholders and a commitment to data-driven outcomes.
Responsibilities
Lead Analytical Projects: Independently own and lead team projects from initial planning and scoping to implementation and ongoing maintenance. Proactively pursue data-backed business opportunities and execute complex analyses using methods like regression and segmentation.
Develop Data Solutions: Design and build advanced, interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that integrate multiple data sources. Create reusable SQL components, DBT models, and scalable data workflows; collaborate with engineers when needed. Write performant and reusable Python code for deep dives and automation.
Develop Forecasts and Scenario Modeling: Build and maintain forecasting and scenario models to inform budgeting and strategy by understanding drivers and potential impact of new initiatives or product changes.
Provide Strategic Insights: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations aligned with broader business objectives. Articulate trade-offs and keep project goals on track.
Improve Data Practices: Propose data model improvements and enforce metric consistency. Use data querying and transformation skills (DBT, indexes, CTEs) to optimize performance and manage costs. Champion SQL best practices and reusability.
Drive Decision-Making: Lead discussions that inform technical, product, and process decisions and communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.
Mentor and Grow: Mentor junior analysts, foster technical growth, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety.
Qualifications
Leadership & Communication: Persuasive partner to stakeholders, clear presentation of findings, strong business acumen, and collaborative mindset.
Data Analysis: Ability to translate unstructured questions into analytical projects, define metrics, and perform in-depth analyses.
Technical Proficiency: SQL, Python, and Tableau expertise; comfortable with Git/GitHub for version control.
Problem-Solving: Identify root causes and design adaptable solutions.
Project Ownership: Independently scope and execute work and manage time and priorities for predictable delivery.
Must have
Work Experience: 5+ years in a Data Analytics role.
Technical & Analytical Skills: Advanced SQL, Python, and Tableau; ability to translate complex questions into analytical projects and execute independently.
Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and collaboration across functions; ability to influence and present findings.
Problem-Solving: Track record of identifying root causes and delivering data-driven solutions.
Strategic Acumen: Connecting data insights to broader business strategies and goals.
Forecasting: Experience creating and presenting financial forecasts and scenario modeling using spreadsheets, SQL, and BI tools.
Nice to have
Technical Proficiency: Experience with DBT, Git workflows, Snowflake, Streamlit, Redash, JIRA, Coda, and Google Workspace.
Industry Experience Experience in B2B SaaS, real estate technology, insurance services, applicant screening services, payment processing services, and property management.
Compensation & Benefits The base salary for this role is expected to be $104,000 – $130,000. Actual compensation will depend on skills, education, experience, and internal equity. Base pay is one part of a total rewards package; additional benefits and bonuses may apply. Regular full-time employees are eligible for benefits.
