Overview
Lead Technologist/ Project Manager – Energy Solutions Advisory This role supports Jacobs Energy & Power projects across multiple end markets, focusing on delivering reliable and sustainable energy solutions and accelerating the energy transition in North America. The position involves leading project delivery, coordinating internal teams and external partners, and developing innovative energy advisory solutions. Base pay
Base pay range: $140,700.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Manage internal Jacobs teams as well as external subconsultants and contractors Work with clients to solve energy challenges, including speed to market, reliability and sustainability Collaborate with technical leadership, client account managers, and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance Manage client relationships to ensure expectations are understood and met; involve broader Jacobs team to steward positive relationships and resolve client concerns Oversee projects to minimize risk and keep within budget, schedule, scope, and quality; identify and mitigate risks as they arise Lead in identifying, developing and pursuing business opportunities with existing or new clients Support proposals and materials for new business opportunities with operational and business development teams What you’ll need
Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field At least 8 years of design, consulting, or project development experience Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships, win work, and deliver innovative solutions with value to client and provider Strategic planning experience for energy projects, including knowledge of new and emerging technologies Experience in concept and developed design optimization to guide technical decision making Effective presentation, communication and technical writing skills Experience with multi-disciplinary project delivery teams Ability to work independently and lead/collaborate in cross-functional teams with owner’s personnel and third-party engineers and contractors Other highly regarded qualifications
Professional Registration Experience with thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water) Utility master planning or decarbonization/climate response planning Cogeneration or combined heat and power systems Microgrid and other distributed energy resources systems Data center or mission critical loads Renewable energy projects; complex energy system modeling Work arrangements
