Base pay range
$70.00/hr - $90.00/hr THE ROLE: Quadrant Strategies is seeking an FP&A Manager on a temporary basis to assist in the build-out of its FP&A function beginning with the annual budgeting process. The anticipated contract period is a minimum of 4 months. Reporting to the VP Finance, the FP&A Manager will play a crucial role in developing mechanisms for the company to easily and on an interim basis assess its to-date and forecasted financial performance and support the company’s growth objectives. Key areas of focus and development will include Budgeting & Forecasting, Modeling & Decision Support, Business Optimization and Strategic Planning. The FP&A Manager will be a day-to-day finance business partner to senior leaders and key functional areas and internal stakeholders developing insightful financial management reports, reliable forecasting processes, modelling and key performance indicators (KPIs) to help guide decision-making and ensure accurate unit-level financial reporting, forecasting and optimization of revenues and profits. The FP&A Manager will work closely with the Controller and the Accounting Team along with division leaders including Talent & Growth, Benefits, Legal and Research Operations. Quadrant is at an exciting inflection point in its growth and the FP&A Manager will be a key contributor to the success of the business into the future as we add new people, teams, and clients. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the establishment and implementation of the FP&A function within the company Business partnering across key functional areas of the business establishing positive relationships with internal stakeholders. Design and execute robust forecasting processes and budgeting models that reflect business trends and drive financial planning but that also model multiple “what-if” scenarios Work with Controller to develop an Early Warning System that will recognize and timely communicate business trends and their impact on actuals, budgets, and forecasts (especially around gap and achievability analyses) and provide course correction recommendations as well. Work effectively with senior leaders and various departments to gather information and provide insights and guidance including budgeting, rolling forecasting, analytics and financial modelling. Create new comprehensive financial reports from scratch, leveraging Rippling planning and budgeting reporting capabilities and assessing the need for new BI or reporting tools Segment and analyze revenue and profitability of streams of business by attributes such as Client, Industry Sector, Service Offering, Methodology, etc to understand the relative contributions to revenue and profit by each and why. Establish cost and efficiency measures/metrics/benchmarks and reporting across the business to continuously identify opportunities for cost improvement and efficiency gains. Create standard business case modelling tool to assess and rank contribution of proposed new spend or investment opportunities using NPV, IRR, Payback Period, etc. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management Professional accounting certification a plus, CPA, CMA or MBA. 5-10 years progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis. (Prior FP&A experience a plus). 2+ years in a leadership position, ideally in a start-up or fast-growth professional services or marketing services company Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence or data visualization software a plus. Experience with Rippling ad hoc report generation and planning and budgeting capabilities in a project based system a plus. Strong financial analysis, business insights and management reporting skills Experience in accounting for multi-national businesses and with international markets. Self-motivated and driven by improving processes and finance business partnering Proven experience building new reports and insights and socializing them Impeccably organized with a keen attention to detail Excellent time management skills, able to handle multiple complex tasks with competing priorities simultaneously Superior written and verbal communication skills Creative and intellectually curious Works well independently and with teams Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Pivot tables, Lookups etc. Job Details
