The General Manager, Sales & Operations is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer service, and overseeing all aspects of daily store operations. This role is central to shaping the customer experience and achieving the company’s revenue and profitability goals. Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies to increase customer acquisition, loyalty, traffic, and profitability. Lead daily store operations, setting sales targets, performance goals, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Deliver an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the team provides knowledgeable, timely, and professional service. Oversee inventory management, merchandising, budgeting, compliance, and safety to optimize store performance and efficiency. Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to identify new opportunities and inform strategic decisions. Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, marketing, product, and operations teams to strengthen market presence and customer satisfaction. Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth. Utilize CRM and analytics tools to track sales performance, manage pipelines, and guide data-driven strategies. Implement and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve processes, mitigate risk, and support business growth. Serve as a key escalation point for complex customer or operational issues, ensuring quick and effective resolution. Required Experience & Skills
5+ years of experience leading sales or retail operations teams with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets. Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop high-performing staff while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture. Strong background in sales strategy, customer acquisition, and driving traffic, loyalty, and profitability. Experience managing store operations, including inventory control, budgeting, merchandising, compliance, and safety. Skilled in analyzing market trends, customer insights, and sales data to inform business decisions and identify growth opportunities. Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field preferred. Experience in the marine industry or fulfillment/drop-ship operations is a plus. Benefits
