Volunteer Role: Family Store Assistant

Overview: As a Family Store Assistant, you’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role in helping families access essential items. Instead of in-person shopping, families place requests, and volunteers like you carefully pack customized orders with care and dignity. Your attention to detail helps ensure that families receive exactly what they need. Responsibilities: Pick and pack orders for families based on specific item requests (clothing, books, baby items, hygiene products, etc.) Sort and organize incoming donations to restock shelves and bins Check donated items for quality and cleanliness Label and prepare completed orders for distribution Help maintain a clean, organized, and respectful workspace Time Commitment: Shifts typically 2-3 hours Weekday availability between 10am-4pm Flexible scheduling available Willingness to volunteer across several months, promoting continuity, relationship-building, and reliable support for Wellspring's mission. Skills Needed: Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized Able to follow packing instructions and handle donated items with care Comfortable working independently or as part of a small team Ability to stand, walk, or lift light items as needed (accommodations available) [KL1] No prior experience necessary, just a willingness to help!
