Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist (Assistant Medical Program Director I/II)

to join its Division of Endocrinology. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated physician to contribute to a growing program within a supportive, multidisciplinary, and academically oriented environment. Position Highlights Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for a wide range of endocrine and metabolic conditions, with a focus on complex diabetes management. Collaborate closely with surgical and medical specialties across RUHS-MC. Participate in RUHS-MC7s Joint Commission-certified Inpatient Diabetes Program, which emphasizes high-quality, team-based care. Academic And Leadership Opportunities RUHS-MC is an academic teaching hospital affiliated with several major universities and supports multiple ACGME-accredited residency programs, including Internal Medicine. Endocrinology Fellowship Program being launched - the successful candidate will play a key role in developing this initiative and shaping its curriculum. Active involvement in the clinical education of Internal Medicine residents and future Endocrinology fellows is expected. Faculty appointments at affiliated universities are available and encouraged. Opportunities for participation in clinical research, quality improvement projects, and academic collaborations are available for candidates with scholarly interests. Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Board-certified or board-eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Eligible for medical licensure in the state of California. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, clinical excellence, and collaborative care. Supervise physicians, mid-level practitioners, healthcare staff, interns, and residents; monitor and evaluate performance; manage operations and scheduling. Instruct physicians, mid-level practitioners, interns, residents, and staff on patient care services; provide professional guidance. Conduct in-service training, rounds, and education related to medical treatments and medications. Act as a medical consultant for primary and preventive care; ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Assist leadership with performance improvement, productivity processes, and program quality improvement activities. Participate in planning and coordinating training programs; keep informed of current medical techniques and equipment. Initiate and coordinate research projects; participate in conferences and presentations. Maintain documentation for coding and regulatory compliance; prepare reports. Assist leadership with program goals, policies, and budget planning; participate in committees and recruitment. Experience And Licensure AMPD I – Board Eligible; AMPD II – Board Certified Valid California Physician and Surgeon license without restrictions Current DEA registration Eligible for certification or board certification in a medical specialty; valid California driver’s license if required Supplemental Information The recruitment is open to all applicants.
