Classic Wire and Cable is an industry-leading supplier and manufacturer of aluminum wire and cable products servicing the commercial, residential, renewable energy, and industrial markets, sold exclusively through electrical distributors. Our management team is led by industry veterans with decades of wire and cable experience in sales, manufacturing, distribution, engineering and marketing.
Classic Wire and Cable is seeking a Regional Sales Manager Electrical Products to drive sales growth and expand market presence within a defined geographic territory. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building strong relationships with electrical distributors and manufacturer representative agencies, and managing key accounts across the region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, forming strategic partnerships, and contributing to long-term regional success.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain ethical, professional relationships with all assigned customers and sales representatives. Drive growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities. Develop, implement, and manage sales programs and pricing strategies. Build and maintain direct relationships with key distributor accounts, including regional and national distributors. Manage price quotations and proposals within the region. Organize and lead product training sessions for distributors, contractors, and rep agencies. Collaborate with Inside Sales on pricing, inventory management, and product rollouts. Support trade show participation and promotional events in coordination with Marketing. Address and resolve customer discrepancies and return issues in coordination with Credit. Provide ongoing market intelligence and insight into competitor activity and pricing. Develop and report on strategic sales plans and regional forecasts. Submit weekly travel itineraries and activity reports. Conduct joint sales calls with rep agencies and direct visits to key accounts. Manage a team of 34 direct reports, providing leadership, coaching, and performance oversight.
Required Qualifications & Characteristics:
Minimum 5 years experience in sales to electrical distributors required. Wire & cable experience required. Proven sales experience in the electrical or industrial distribution market. Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a home-office setting. High level of ethics and professionalism. Effective team leader and collaborator. Ability to manage and motivate third-party sales agencies. Strong organizational and strategic planning skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Willingness and ability to travel extensively (60%+).
