Job Description Job Description Job description: Title: Certified Medical Assistant Location: 1 N Waukegan Rd, North Chicago, IL 60064 Pay Rate : $21-$27 (Depending on years of experience) Schedule: 9:30 AM -6:00 PM Must Haves: 1-2 years of experience as a CMA Certified Medical Assistant Phlebotomy Experience Plusses: Occupational Health experience Primary care experience EPIC Experience Day to Day: A Primary Care Clinic in North Chicago is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to perform back-office duties and manage a patient load of 20-30 individuals daily in a primary care setting. Responsibilities include conducting annual hearing tests for employees, handling emergencies such as chest pain, stroke symptoms, blood draws, panic attacks, heat exhaustion, and performing flu, COVID-19, and strep tests, as well as A1C checks. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for documenting patient information in EPIC. Additionally, the candidate will be cross trained to assist with front desk duties.
