The Assistant Project Manager assists with providing the planning, coordination, and direction for project management activities to ensure they meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule, from initial project identification through construction closeout. May supervise office/field administrative staff or project/field engineers and other assigned staff. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assists the Project Manager in developing project specific procedures, documentation and related A/E systems for the project. Coordinates, directs and monitors activities related to staff and site facilities such as moving classrooms, offices, other school facilities within or between school sites

Represents owner, Vanir and related parties in public forums and meetings

Helps coordinate constructability and peer reviews, estimating and budgets, phasing, contract document preparation, outreach, and bidding activities

Responsible for project closeout activities including punch lists, trainings, securing record drawings, guarantees, warranties, O&Ms, related provisions and final project delivery to Owner

Obtains, maintains, and manages data, information, communication, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, and other project-related entities

Assists in the management of project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures, project logistics, change management, contract documents, organization, systems and project closeout.

Monitors the progress of the project team and provides routine reporting through daily reports & progress photos, Bi-Weekly progress reports, Submittal & RFI Logs, Change Order Logs

Supports project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses

May assist in coordinating and monitoring activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities Knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with construction/project requirements Performs other duties as required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required (Extensive relevant project management experience in place of education may be considered) Minimum of 5 years of construction experience as an Assistant Project Manager (preferred), with 3 years in the Education Sector is preferred. Knowledge of project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, Knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with construction/project requirements engineering/construction principles is required Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related systems such as Prolog/Procore and Primavera are required Proficiency with various document control systems, as well as new construction and modernization of K-12 schools is preferred Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in written formats.

Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$90,000.00.
