Superintendent - Public Construction Job at CyberCoders in Oklahoma City

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in construction practices, and the ability to effectively manage various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction operations and site management to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of construction.
• Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate project requirements and resolve issues.
• Conduct regular inspections of the job site to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project specifications.
• Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to construction teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Prepare and submit reports regarding project status, challenges, and resolutions to upper management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with K-12, police stations, fire stations, Title 61
• Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent technical skills related to construction processes and methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability in account management and client relations.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
