Currently, we are seeking an individual to join our Madison, WI field operations as a jobsite Superintendent. In accordance with our beliefs / values / mission / vision, the Superintendent is responsible for overall supervision and execution of assigned construction projects, from project planning to project completion. The Superintendent oversees - of both field personnel as well as subcontractors and visitors - the safety, quality of work, cost of work, schedule, labor, equipment and materials associated with the assigned work. Responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that exemplifies and promotes a safe, caring and ethical culture on each assigned project. Candidates with 5 or more years of construction experience and 2 or more years of experience as a foreman, preferably in the carpenter trade, are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities of the Superintendent position include but are not limited to:
- Adhere to and enforce Safety Program; local, state and federal safety regulations; and jobsite-specific safety expectations; and safety initiatives as requested by or coordinated with the Director of Safety and Human Resources.
- Assure that high standards of craftsmanship, assembly, and cleanliness are met and maintained on job sites.
- Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of all daily jobsite activities.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of our employees and all subcontractors through use of weekly and monthly meetings.
- A valid driver's license and means of transportation
- Basic to moderate computer skills, preferably with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the use, care and qualities of materials, tools, and equipment of the trade.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work as a team player, yet also take initiative to address and resolve issues.
