Emergency Room RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

Valid NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification

ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care to patients from neonate to geriatric populations following ENA standards

Perform triage and prioritize emergency care based on patient acuity and department flow

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans

Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Accurately document patient history, chief complaints, and care provided in the electronic medical record

Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge planning, and referrals

Respond to medical emergencies and manage complications according to established protocols

Maintain readiness of emergency supplies and equipment

Promote effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team
