Job description: Ultrasound Technologist (Night Shift) Location: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Bethesda, MD Schedule: Monday – Friday | 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM Company: US Got People (USGP) USGP is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to support our military service members, veterans, and their families at Walter Reed NCR. Education: Completion of an Ultrasound education program approved by ARDMS Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) CPR (BLS) Certification Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-training ultrasound experience At least 1 year in a hospital setting Note:
Graduates who completed clinical training at WRNMMC may qualify under an entry-level contract exemption Licensure: Valid, unrestricted license in at least one S. state or territory Additional Requirements Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics Proficient in general, vascular, and Doppler ultrasound procedures Experience with PACS and MHS Genesis (Cerner) systems Compliance with facility requirements including flu and COVID-19 vaccinations (unless exempt), and fit testing Immunization Requirements (Current or Obtainable) Hepatitis B (series + titer) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Varicella (Chickenpox) TB test Seasonal Flu vaccine COVID-19 vaccine References Required
Two (2) professional letters of recommendation dated within the last two years, attesting to clinical Must include reference’s name, title, phone number, date, address, and signature Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to: Abdomen, pelvis, obstetric (1st–3rd trimester), neonatal, vascular, thyroid, scrotal, and transplant imaging Assist in interventional procedures in radiology, OR, and specialty clinics Use and manage PACS and MHS Genesis (Cerner) systems Respond to STAT and routine imaging orders; document findings using IPASS Participate in staff training, competency assessments, and emergency protocols Mentor student technologists and resident physicians Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and all WRNMMC protocols Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff for patient care coordination Ideal Candidate A team-oriented professional with a passion for patient care Detail-oriented, dependable, and flexible in a dynamic hospital environment Committed to continual professional development and excellence in service At USGP, we are proud to support those who serve.
