Travel Nurse Job Details

Assignment Length:

Large, teaching hospital (Operating Room – CVOR)

Start Date:

Nursing Shift:

12-hour rotating shifts (days/evenings); call and weekend rotation required

Holiday Coverage:

Work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)

Possible Float:

May float to Fanny Allen Ambulatory Campus; flexibility required

Orientation:

Bi-weekly on Mondays

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state

BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred

Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR nursing experience in a large, teaching hospital

Prior travel nursing experience required

Circulate experience required; scrub experience preferred

Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)

Strong clinical skills in ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro

Reliable transportation required (public transportation not accessible; personal or rental vehicle recommended)

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical procedures

Circulate and scrub in CVOR cases as needed

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a dynamic, teaching hospital environment

Float to other surgical units as required

Participate in call and weekend rotations

Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
