Comprehensive Cancer Center – 40-bed unit
Assignment Length:
13 weeks (Start: 9/15/2025 – End: 12/13/2025)
Nursing Shift:
12-hour night shifts (6:30pm – 7:00am)
Hours per Week:
36 guaranteed
Weekend Rotation:
Every other weekend
Holiday Expectations:
Travelers work 75% of holidays

$1570-$1680
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience (Oncology experience preferred)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification (Resource Team requirement)
ONS and OCN certifications preferred
Clinical proficiency in port access, blood product administration, electrolyte management, end-of-life care, pain/symptom management, PIV starts, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Epic EMR experience preferred
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients with hematology and oncology diagnoses, including leukemia, symptom management, and comfort/end-of-life care
Manage patient ratios of 1:4-5, acuity dependent
Perform port access, administer blood products, and manage electrolytes
Provide pain and symptom management, including end-of-life care
Start peripheral IVs and interpret cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and centralized telemetry monitoring
Float within the cancer center and to other medical-surgical units as needed
Verify telemetry strips each shift
Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitors
