Facility:
Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital
Contract Duration:
13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/5/2026)
Shift:
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (Monday–Friday, 6:00am–6:30pm)
On-call:
Required, 5–8 calls per month (including weekends and possible holiday call)
Charting:
EPIC electronic medical records
Orientation:
16 hours
CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience in cardiac operating room or vascular surgery
Ability to scrub & circulate complex cardiac, general OR, and vascular cases
Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state nursing license
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
Radiation badge (provided by agency)
Experience with EPIC charting systems preferred
Community hospital experience required; Level I/II Trauma experience preferred
First-time travel nurses not preferred
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
Scrub and circulate for complex cardiac and vascular surgeries, including CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valve replacements, heart and lung transplants
Deliver high-quality patient care and maintain safety in a fast-paced operating room environment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency cases
Follow hospital protocols and compliance standards
Promote a positive team culture in a teaching and trauma center setting
