Shift:
12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), weekends as needed
Guaranteed Hours:
36 hours per week
Estimated Weekly Salary:
$2240 - $2400
Floating:
May float to St. Luke's Treasure Valley sites (Meridian, Nampa, Boise) within L&D, Postpartum, Antepartum, or as a sitter
Orientation:
4 shifts of unit-specific orientation
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Idaho or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience (3 years preferred)
Mother-baby and postpartum nursing experience preferred (minimum 1 year preferred)
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE
Experience with deliveries, newborn care, triage, circulating C-sections, and postpartum couplet care
Proficient in magnesium administration and titration of drips (Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin)
Ability to float to other units/sites as needed
Compliance with hospital dress code (hospital-issued scrubs required)
Must complete compliance and EPIC Curio assignments before start date
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a 14-bed LDRP unit
Circulate and recover C-section patients in 2 dedicated operating suites
Staff triage beds and provide care for antepartum patients as needed
Administer and titrate medications and drips per clinical protocols
Collaborate with OB hospitalists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, anesthesia, and support staff
Float to other St. Luke's Treasure Valley locations within primary skill set or as a sitter
Participate in orientation, ongoing education, and maintain compliance with hospital policies
Document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system
