30-bed Neuro Stroke/Cardiac Stepdown Unit

Estimated Weekly Salary Range:

$1470 - $1570 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Nursys verification required) – Illinois nursing jobs preferred

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Neuro Stepdown, or acute care nursing

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Proficiency with EPIC EMR system

Skilled in performing EKGs and cardiac monitoring

Willingness to float to similar healthcare units as needed

Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday

Strong communication and patient care skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-stroke, neuro interventional, and cardiac stepdown patients

Monitor and assess patients, including telemetry and stepdown unit ratios (1:4 SDU, tele 1:5-6)

Perform EKGs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition

Document all care and interventions accurately in EPIC EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Float to similar nursing units as required

Comply with hospital policies, including sick call and holiday coverage requirements
