Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in maintaining product safety and quality by performing inspections, testing, and monitoring throughout the production process. This position focuses on syrup, ingredient, and finished product testing to ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards. The role requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), familiarity with HACCP and Juice HACCP systems, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct product inspections, laboratory testing, and quality checks across all stages of production. Operate and train on laboratory equipment such as refractometers, CO? meters, scales, pH meters, and temperature probes. Monitor food safety and quality during manufacturing, including sanitation verification, ATP, and allergen testing. Record, maintain, and file inspection logs, reports, and other documentation accurately. Verify recipe compliance and ensure production follows established guidelines. Collect and prepare product samples for testing, client requests, and lab retains. Perform verification and calibration of laboratory equipment. Identify and report deviations, inconsistencies, or quality concerns with urgency. Document and monitor critical control points (CCP) where applicable. Assist with internal quality audits and compliance with GMP, facility, and regulatory requirements. Train peers on testing procedures and lab best practices as needed. Ensure sanitation and safety standards are met at all times. Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED required). Previous knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMP in a manufacturing environment (highly preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods. Ability to work in varied temperature ranges. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
