Warehouse Lead
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Lead oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient work flow, accuracy in inventory control, and compliance with safety standards. This role supports the Warehouse Manager by coordinating staff, monitoring productivity, and ensuring timely receipt, storage, and distribution of products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in motivating teams to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates, including shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory management.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all warehouse transactions, documentation, and system updates.
Train, coach, and mentor team members to improve performance, efficiency, and safety awareness.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards.
Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
Collaborate with management and other departments to resolve issues and streamline operations.
Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed.
Monitor performance metrics and report on daily operational outcomes.
Qualifications:
3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience; at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity preferred.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and safety procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or warehouse management systems (WMS).
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
Forklift certification a plus.
