Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with all TBJ departments in the physical profile assessment & analysis process, leading to the creation of individualized player plans and developmental goals, as well as tracking progress at specified times throughout the year.
  • Developing, individualizing, and coaching the TBJ S&C program for the specified group of affiliate players under the coach’s care, including scheduling and overseeing daily physical development routines (preparation, lifting, conditioning, speed/agility sessions, and recovery work).
  • Leading daily workload monitoring of players and engaging in discussions and adjustments to programs as needed.
  • Weight room setup, organization, cleanliness and sanitation.

Requirements

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA (or actively pursuing).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field.
  • First Aid/CPR Certified; minimum 1 year of direct experience working with teams or athletes in strength & conditioning (including internships or graduate assistantships).
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, desire to learn and improve daily.
  • Passion for athlete development with the ability to stay organized, manage large groups, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to demonstrate a CLEAR fit within the Toronto Blue Jays values (Collaborate, Learn, Empower, Achieve, Respect).

Contract Details

  • Position begins January 2026.
  • All contract details (salary, housing, meals, benefits, etc.) will be discussed during the interview process.
