Fort Smith, Arkansas-based warehouse/production support with 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including regular weekends off on the two-week pattern.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport finished goods and in-process products to and from warehouse and production lines.
- Receive, store, and stage materials, supplies, and equipment in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare and stage truck loads of finished goods for shipment; support inventory cycle counting of finished goods and materials.
- Operate forklift and other material handling devices; perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections; complete 5S housekeeping and downtime cleaning activities.
- Participate in team meetings and TPM activities; follow safety processes and promote safe work habits within the area.
Shipping and Receiving Functions
- Ensure trailers are locked, wheels chocked, and dock safety procedures followed during loading/unloading.
- Inspect trailers and materials for obvious defects; report non-conformances as appropriate.
- Procure finished goods from the warehouse and load into trailers or intermodals; ensure correct product is loaded.
- Operate forklift with attachments as required for loading finished mat and perform final quality inspections prior to shipment.
- Perform administrative shipping duties as required (packing lists, bills of lading, etc.) and assist with return vendor shipments.
Receiving Functions
- Unload supplies and equipment; transport to staging or storage areas; verify packaging lists against received materials.
- Place inbound materials in proper storage locations and use forklift to locate items.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a sit-down forklift
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in conditions with varying temperatures and noise levels
- Walk, stand, and sit for duration of shift; lift/carry up to 50 lbs independently and heavier with assistance
- Climb stairs, operate computers and standard office equipment; communicate effectively with coworkers
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary
