Position: Rock Valley College is seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach Welding.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of work and up to 4 years of experience as a welder and metal fabricator in industrial, construction, and/or maintenance welding.
• Must be proficient in: Basic math, basic physics, and basic trigonometry functions.
• Welding blueprint reading skills.
• Mig, Tig, Stick, Oxyfuel Welding and Cutting processes in all positions.
• Welding mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel metals.
• Current or past welding certification from American Welding Society, American Petroleum Institute, military or similar.

Desirable Qualifications

• Three to five years of formal teaching experience in welding is desired.
• American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector is desired.
• American Welding Society Certified Welding Educator is desired.

Salary

$700-$845 per CHE.
