PACU Registered Nurse – Travel Nursing Job in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Key Job Details – PACU RN Travel Assignment

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 25, 2025 – November 24, 2025)
• Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (53158) – Wisconsin nursing jobs
• Setting: Cath Lab Recovery Room (IR/Neuro/EP/Cath combined unit)
• Shift: Days, 5x8-hour shifts (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2080–$2130
• Unit Size: 9 beds, daily census 10-15
• Orientation: 40 hours
• First time travel nurses welcome!
  
  

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin or compact state RN license (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU, recovery room, or perioperative nursing experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (all required for PACU nurse jobs)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Must provide two supervisor references after offer
• Cannot accommodate latex allergies
  
  

PACU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-procedure care for patients in the Cath Lab Recovery Room
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor status throughout recovery
• Administer medications, including antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and emergency drugs
• Manage IVs, PICC lines, and vascular access devices
• Conduct airway assessments and provide conscious sedation as needed
• Interpret and communicate lab values, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and assist with pacemaker insertions
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR (preferred)
