Advance your nursing career as a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) in Lacey, Washington. This locum tenens travel contract offers care to patients and families throughout Thurston, Mason, and Lewis counties in the Puget Sound South region.

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
  • Healthcare Setting: Hospice admissions (territory includes Thurston, Mason, and Lewis counties)
  • Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 10-hour day shifts
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: October 20, 2025
  • End Date: January 18, 2026
  • Call Requirement: No on-call shifts
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2320 - $2380

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
  • Minimum 1 year of hospice admission experience required
  • Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR system
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hospice admissions and patient assessments in assigned Washington territory
  • Coordinate care plans and collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Educate patients and families about hospice services, symptom management, and end-of-life care
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided using HCHB EMR
  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality hospice care in accordance with industry standards
