To support our continued expansion and operations in the U.S., we are looking for an accountant to join our Miami office and contribute to the financial integrity and accuracy of our reporting and processes.
Overview
HBS is seeking an Accountant to support financial reporting and accounting activities for US entities, with responsibilities spanning accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, IFRS/US GAAP reporting, payroll coordination, intercompany processes, asset accounting and related controls.
Responsibilities
- Post prepayments, accruals, and deferred revenue (project/non-project)
- Verify and post payroll (in collaboration with external providers)
- Ensure accuracy in payroll and social security reconciliations with the payroll provider
- Reconcile subledgers and general ledgers ensuring they are settled properly
- Collaborate with tax advisors and post-tax accruals (including deferred taxes)
- Post bank transactions and perform bank account reconciliations
- Manage IFRS 16 database and related postings
- Support intercompany reconciliation process monthly
- Prepare monthly direct cash flow actuals
- Collaborate with the AP team lead on cash flow forecasting
- Perform IFRS reporting in HFM for US entities monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
- Fixed Asset Accounting — manage depreciation runs and fixed asset bookings
- Accounts Receivable — issue and book customer invoices (including intercompany)
- Accounts Receivable — calculate and post bad debt provisions (including IFRS 9)
- Accounts Payable — support AP Accountant and serve as back-up when needed
- Other Responsibilities — oversee the approval of employee expense reports (Mobile Expense)
- Maintain documentation of accounting processes and ensure internal controls are followed by stakeholders
- Perform other ad hoc finance and accounting tasks as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting (or equivalent certification)
- 2–3+ years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 or Dynamics 365 Business Central is a big plus
- ERP implementation experience – a nice bonus
- Experience in international or multicultural environments is an advantage
- Background in audit is a plus
- Detail-oriented, yet able to see the big picture; independent and proactive
- Highly organized with a positive attitude; strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Able to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines

Typical compensation ranges shown in the postings include: Miami, FL $90,000.00-$110,000.00, among others.
