Normal Work Schedule: Typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 05:00 AM to 01:00 PM; flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Job Summary

The Security Officer position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, and company property. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, customers, and colleagues, maintaining a positive and professional environment and supporting overall security operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• English proficiency, reliable transportation, and good communication
• Ability to submit to and pass pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background check
• Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service
• Preferred: prior security, law enforcement, or customer service experience; working knowledge of security operations and procedures

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, observe, and report activities and incidents on company premises
• Protect personnel, visitors, and property by enforcing regulations and procedures
• Maintain visitor logs, manage deliveries, and oversee access control
• Conduct regular patrols on foot or by vehicle
• Respond to emergencies (fire, medical incidents, bomb threats, hazardous materials, weather, etc.)
• Preserve order and protect evidence or incident scenes when required
• Prepare daily logs and reports in a professional manner
• Perform duties under all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain)

Work Environment

Security Officers work in both indoor and outdoor environments, often standing or walking for extended periods. The position requires exposure to varying weather conditions and professional conduct when dealing with challenging situations or individuals.

Physical Demands

Be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods (often 8+ hours). Use hands to handle, reach, or control equipment. Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance focus. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
