LHH is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a direct hire opportunity with a respected professional services firm in the Charlotte area. This role offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment, supporting a wide range of HR functions that are essential to the organization's success. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of HR experience from a legal or financial services industry. This position is fully onsite in Charlotte, NC Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including coordination with academic institutions and managing early-career hiring programs.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes and orientation for new team members.
  • Coordinate seasonal internship and associate programs, including scheduling and logistics.
  • Administer employee benefits and support annual enrollment activities.
  • Maintain accurate records for attendance, time off, and related tracking systems.
  • Support performance review cycles and employee feedback initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource for employee relations, helping foster a positive and inclusive workplace.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Help organize internal events and social activities to promote team engagement.
  • Participate in compensation research and benchmarking using industry surveys and data.
  • Assist with training programs and professional development efforts.
  • Provide general support to HR and operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Experience in legal or financial services industries.
  • Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport across teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks independently with a high level of organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with HR systems such as ADP and SharePoint is a plus.
