LHH is seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Senior Human Resources Generalist to join a wonderful non-profit organization in Downtown Atlanta. In this pivotal role, you will lead and support core HR functions across multiple states, with a focus on Compliance, Employee Relations, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, and Performance Management.
The ideal candidate is not only well-versed in HR fundamentals but has strong experience in multi-state, full-cycle payroll and benefits administration. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multi-state, full-cycle payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor on matters including employee relations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Ensure consistent compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal policies and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's broader goals and operational needs.
- Draft, update, and maintain HR documentation, policies, and internal communications.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns, maintaining discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Manage and analyze HR data to identify trends, support strategic decisions, and prepare reports for leadership.
- Stay up to date on evolving HR regulations, trends, and technologies to recommend improvements and ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a senior or generalist role covering multiple HR disciplines.
- Hands‑on experience with ADP Workforce Now and proficiency in HRIS platforms.
- Solid understanding of employment laws, multi‑state payroll, and benefits administration.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
- SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP certification strongly preferred.
