Assistant Store Manager in Training (AIT) role at Jacksons Food Stores. Provide exceptional service by greeting and thanking customers Follow, interpret, and enforce company policy and procedures with employees Suggest purchases and promote store specials Ensure proper sanitation and food handling and storage procedures Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of the store, including islands and pumps Minimize out-of-stocks by restocking shelves, displays, and coolers Maintain cleanliness of fast-food area, equipment, and stock Stay safety-conscious, adhere to the Safety Manual, and report incidents to the manager Assist in training new employees Manage foodservice and beverage programs to maximize sales and minimize loss Report to work promptly, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform Make safe deposits per company policies Assist in preparing weekly orders for products from suppliers Assist with fueling customer cars, checking engine fluids, and washing windows where required Respond to emergencies when the Store Manager is unavailable Operate register and other store equipment when needed Prepare cashier checkout and reporting per policy Additional duties as assigned Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays Previous leadership experience in a food service or retail environment At least 3 months of customer service experience Strong passion for exceptional customer service Excellent communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco and able to work around slot machines (NV only) Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and collaboration Ability to think quickly and adapt to change Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and twisting; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; occasionally lifting up to 65 pounds Work in conditions including heat, cold, allergens, noise, and exposure to fumes/chemicals from gasoline and cleaning products Equal Employment Opportunity
