Yakima, WA 98902 (Central Washington healthcare jobs)
Facility:
2NW Advanced Care Unit (ACU/CCU) – 20 bed critical care unit
Assignment Length:
13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 1/31/2026)
Shift:
12-hour days (0700-1930), every other weekend & holiday rotation
Hours per Week:
36 guaranteed
Estimated Weekly Salary:
$1880–$2020 per week
Employment Type:
Travel RN, On-Site
Orientation:
General hospital orientation plus 2 unit shifts
Scrub Color:
Any color, professional attire
Parking:
Free employee parking
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active RN license (Washington RN license preferred for local candidates)
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
At least 1 completed travel nurse assignment
Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
Clinical skills: CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, diabetes management, blood product administration, BiPAP, CVA overflow, post-cath care
Experience with chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, femoral arterial sheath monitoring
Preferred: Art line, Impella, and/or IABP experience
Ability to float to Telemetry, Med-Surg, and Neurology-Medical units as needed
ICU RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU/CCU
Monitor and manage complex patient conditions and critical drips (diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, heparin)
Perform and assist with procedures: chest tube management, wound care, arterial sheath monitoring
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team: CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists
Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors
Float to other nursing units as needed, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care
Participate in hospital orientation and ongoing professional development
