Overview
The Oracle Cerner Systems Analyst will lead integration and optimization of Oracle Health (Cerner) applications within PMOP’s data and reporting ecosystem. This role ensures interoperability between Oracle Health modules, VA enterprise systems (CPRS, VistA, Power BI, CDW), and PMOP-developed automation tools—enabling real-time clinical insights and pain management data flows. Key Responsibilities
Serve as PMOP’s Oracle Health technical advisor, providing guidance on architecture, data integration, and security alignment with VA enterprise systems. Configure, optimize, and document Oracle Health workflows for pain management, opioid safety, and clinical decision support. Develop mappings and APIs to align Oracle Health datasets with PMOP data models and dashboards (e.g., CDW, Power BI, SQL Server). Support automation and interoperability with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, PowerApps, Power BI). Collaborate with the Senior Programmer and Data Analyst to enhance data extraction, transformation, and visualization pipelines. Develop user guides, data dictionaries, and integration playbooks for continuity and knowledge transfer. Provide technical validation for compliance with VA IT security, Section 508, and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, VA’s Lighthouse APIs). Required Technical Skills
Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium, HealtheIntent, or equivalent) configuration and data integration expertise. SQL, HL7/FHIR, REST API development and data modeling. Experience with VA health IT systems (VistA, CPRS, CDW, iFAMS). Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, PowerApps). Knowledge of VA security and privacy frameworks, including TIC 3.0 and RMF. Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and ITIL practices for health data systems. Preferred Experience
Prior VA or DoD health IT modernization experience. Experience supporting national-level health informatics programs or clinical data governance initiatives. Certification in Oracle Health, HL7, or Health Informatics (e.g., CPHIMS). Company Description
