Maintains and/or improves occupancy and revenue in the community in accordance with marketing and business plans, including completing sales calls and closing sales. Develops and maintains relationships with residents, family members and professional referral sources to generate leads. Plans, coordinates, and implements monthly prospect and referral source activities and events. Partners with Regional Sales management to develop and execute marketing plans and achieve occupancy goals. Supervises the activities of at least two Full-time Equivalent (FTE) Marketing Coordinator(s) and/or Sales Counselor(s) to achieve community marketing and business plan goals. Closes sales by guiding prospective residents and their families through the decision-making process; responds promptly to inquiries from referral sources, prospective residents, and families; provides accurate community and company information. Utilizes sales processes, systems, and forms for external and internal sales; tracks information, compiles data, and prepares reports to support occupancy goals. Conducts outside business development calls to meet or exceed lead generation goals; targets include legal and financial professionals, senior organizations, hospital discharge planners, and other local contacts. Develops and maintains weekly relationships with residents, families, and referral sources; delivers presentations on services, market advantages, and availability to meet needs of prospective referral sources and community groups. Plans and executes monthly events per the community marketing plan; follows up on all leads generated from events. Works with Regional Sales management to craft marketing content and advertising materials; adheres to Brookdale’s Creative Services guidelines. Monitors conversion ratios and analyzes data to prepare weekly and monthly sales reports; communicates sales performance to Regional Sales management. Maintains working knowledge of the lead management system to maximize sales effectiveness. Qualifications

Education and Experience : Bachelor\'s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination. Minimum five years of sales experience, preferably in the retirement industry, medical, or pharmaceutical sales, with a proven track record of generating and closing qualified leads. Certifications, Licenses, And Other Special Requirements : Valid driver\'s license; frequent travel may be required. Management/Decision Making : Applies guidelines to make varied decisions within a department; uses judgment to solve moderately complex problems. Knowledge and Skills : Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, Medicare/Medicaid regulations as applicable, and proficiency with PCs and MS Office; experience with contact management databases is preferred; ability to manage time and projects; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse personalities.
