The Department of Athletics, utilizing the services of over 150 employees, is responsible for the intercollegiate athletics program at San Diego State University. Currently, there are 18 sport programs, approximately 450 student-athletes, and 17 offices in the department. The offices include the following: The Aztec Club, Administration, Athletic Medicine, Business Office, Compliance, Corporate Sales, Development, Equipment, Event Management/Facilities and Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Media Relations, Strength and Conditioning, Student-Athlete Academic Support Services, Ticket Office, and Video. Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience. Key Qualifications

Travel required for position. Travel dependent on department or sport program(s) needs. Master's degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, or a related field is preferred. Experience installing and configuring the current version for Windows and Mac OS workstations. Minimum of four years of experience in the setup, maintenance, and integration of hardware and software in a networked office computer system. Four years of progressively responsible experience in computer or instructional technology. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of SDSU systems software. Working knowledge of sports video editing systems, DVD creation, and CoachComm headset communications. Experience in an athletics setting is preferred. Licenses/Certifications Required

Valid California Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire. Compensation And Benefits

Salary is based on your experience, education, and qualifications, within the department's budget and equity guidelines. Effective October 1, 2025, this position will be classified as a Technology Support Specialist III. CSU Classification Salary Range: $6,492- $9,458 per month (Step 1 - Step 20); Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience. Step placement upon appointment is not expected to exceed Step 19 ($9,273) for highly qualified candidates. Future increases, including step advancement, are subject to contract negotiations.
