Overview
Senior Project Manager- Life Science (Design and Construction) – New York PM A is a national real estate advisory firm providing consulting services as the owner's representative, including development management, project management, program management and investor representation. We partner with our clients to provide leadership and strategic guidance for sophisticated real estate needs, minimizing risk and maximizing outcomes. Your Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will interface with PMA clients and project teams through a structured process of strategic real estate planning, design, and construction of new buildings, tenant improvements, and facilities assignments. Responsibilities include: 8+ years of Life Sciences, Wet Lab, or Healthcare experience within design, construction, development, or project management Vivarium Lab experience is a plus Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Real Estate Finance, or related field Experience as an Owner’s Representative or Project Manager representing fiduciary interests of a developer or investor Ability to manage project teams successfully through all development and construction phases Involvement with and leadership of master planning, budgeting, pre-construction, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction/activation planning Knowledge of project pro formas, development budgets, operations, financial metrics (return on cost, IRR) Strong project controls, management, construction documentation, and sequencing understanding Working knowledge of alternate materials/methods, construction costs, value engineering, and building/occupancy laws and lease requirements Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Discretion in handling confidential information and ability to develop long-term client relationships Your Values and Skills
