Regulatory Operations Executive - Walkers Fiduciary Limited - Cayman Islands Walkers invites applications from suitably qualified Caymanians or Residents with Employment Rights for the above position:

Responsible for ensuring that Special Purpose Vehicles that are incorporated as part of structured finance transactions in the Cayman Islands are complying with their regulatory obligations – specifically that SPV's are complying with their policies and procedures set up to facilitate compliance with the Cayman Islands AML/CTF regime.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

CDD & Risk Assessment Execution: Conduct end to end CDD checks on the SPV's customers which include noteholders, investors, lenders across warehousing, close and post close transaction stages.

Collect, verify and maintain all required documentation required under the AML/CTF policies and procedures applicable to the SPV.

Perform Sanctions, Politically Exposed Person (PEP) and Adverse Media screening on all relevant parties and escalate any hits or red flags to AML Officers/MLRO/DMLRO as appropriate.

Analyse CDD information to assess and assign risk ratings in line with the customer risk scoring models adopted by the SPV.

Conduct enhanced due diligence checks on high-risk customers and escalate any relevant findings.

Conduct ongoing monitoring of high-risk customers and conduct periodic reviews over customers to ensure information remains current and accurate.

Collaboration: Work closely with SPV relationship managers, Cayman legal counsel, WPS Operational Risk and Walkers Compliance teams to ensure a smooth and compliant onboarding process for customers, and to address any ad-hoc compliance inquiries.

Process Improvement: Work closely with the Process and Risk Manager – Fiduciary Services to identify and recommend enhancements to existing procedures, systems and controls to improve efficiency and mitigate emerging risks.

Assurance and Testing: Work with the WPS Internal Monitoring team and AML officers to set up testing plans for sample-based QC and QA testing of the adequacy of CDD checks on noteholder vehicles.

Reporting: Provide management reporting to SPV relationship managers, AML Compliance Officers and WPS Senior Management of the status of CDD requests and compliance status for every customer of each SPV.

Education, Skills & Experience

A business/legal degree or related qualification, or relevant experience in a role within the financial services industry.

Minimum 3-5 years AML/CFT experience (across AML/KYC/CDD/Screening) and an understanding of the regulatory regime in the Cayman Islands required, with solid knowledge of the know-your-customer and customer due diligence requirements.

AML/CFT compliance related qualification would be an asset.

High Level of computer literacy and strong communication skills are required.

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi task.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows - Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint.

Experience with Viewpoint and InTapp would be an asset.

Proficiency with CDD/KYC platforms and screening tools would be an asset.
