The financial counselor processes submitted applications for assistance and grants approvals based on established guidelines. The financial counselor communicates with the patient to gain additional information and to communicate approval or denial for assistance. The work of the financial counselor supports Centra efforts in the use of foundation funds and appropriate charity designation. Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to communicate Centra’s financial policy. Obtain, process, and maintain submitted documentation. Assist patients with inquiries via email, chat, or telephonically on assistance applications within a timely manner. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of established policies, guidelines, confidentiality, and regulations. Monitor, review, and resolve assigned work queue accounts. Other Functions Perform special projects as needed and assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in revenue cycle operations or customer service. Preferred Qualifications: Detail oriented, self-motivated Job details
