The position requires the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, conduct research leading to high-quality peer-reviewed publications, and provide service to students, the department, the profession, and the university.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. or D.B.A. with a major or specialization in accounting from a school with AACSB accreditation. The successful candidate must meet the requirements to be Scholarly Academic (SA) under AACSB and Texas Standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant certification and/or significant work experience in at least one teaching area. Evidence of research potential with the ability to publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals. Indication that candidate can effectively teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
