We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to serve as a senior financial advisor to closely held businesses. This client-facing role extends beyond traditional tax compliance—you'll act as a strategic partner to business owners while collaborating across accounting, wealth advisory, IT, marketing, and operations teams. Key Responsibilities
Oversee tax engagements for S corporations, partnerships, and individuals Review and compile financial statements for clients in manufacturing, engineering, construction, and related industries Conduct monthly meetings with business owners to develop and track KPIs Integrate tax strategies with long-term financial planning alongside our wealth advisory team Provide holistic financial oversight and strategic consulting Why Work With Us?

BS degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's in Taxation preferred) Active CPA license 5-7 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and lead teams This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise, team leadership, and strategic client consulting in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
