# AVP – Financial Reporting – InsuranceAVP – Financial Reporting – InsuranceSalary$100000 - $140000LocationVirginia, USAContractPermanentIndustryAccountancy---ContactRobert DickersonRobert.Dickerson@oliverjames.com**Job Title**: AVP – Financial Reporting Manager**Location**: Remote* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant standards.* Coordinate the preparation of statutory financial reports for regulatory filing.* Analyze financial results, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.* Ensure accuracy of reinsurance transactions and reporting related to life reinsurance contracts.* Collaborate with actuarial, accounting, and business teams to resolve reporting issues and improve processes.* Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.* Prepare internal management reports and provide financial insights to senior leadership.* Support audits and regulatory inspections as needed.* Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting best practices.**Qualifications**:* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.* CPA, CFA, or similar professional certifications preferred.* 5+ years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within the reinsurance or insurance industry.* Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements.* Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.* Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).* Experience working with life reinsurance contracts and transactions is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
