This executive will guide a team focused on maximizing property performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and executing business plans. The Vice President will also play a key role in transactions including refinancings, loan modifications, and dispositions while serving as a senior representative to investors, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with property management leadership and external advisors to implement operational best practices, adopt new technology platforms, and drive continuous improvement in resident service, cost efficiency, and compliance monitoring. Lead and mentor the affordable asset management team, fostering professional growth and ensuring strong performance. Oversee a portfolio of affordable multifamily properties throughout the New York City area. Monitor financial results, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance property and portfolio value. Manage transaction activity including refinancings, loan modifications, and dispositions by preparing financial models, presenting recommendations, and executing approved strategies. Conduct site visits to assess property conditions, capital project progress, and the performance of on-site management teams and staff. Guide long-term capital planning to support reinvestment needs, sustainability initiatives, and resilience upgrades. Prepare and deliver clear updates and recommendations to senior leadership, investors, lenders, and joint venture partners. Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory and government agencies to support approvals, compliance, and long-term partnerships. Identify risks across financial, operational, and regulatory areas, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them. Support community impact initiatives, including sustainability, resident engagement, and social responsibility programs. Collaborate with development, construction, and property management teams to ensure alignment from initial business planning through long-term execution. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: 8–12 years of multifamily real estate experience with significant asset management responsibilities; affordable housing expertise strongly preferred. Proven leadership experience. Track record of successfully executing refinancing and disposition transactions. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and presentation skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Deep understanding of New York City affordable housing programs, financing tools, and regulatory frameworks. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and represent the firm externally. Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
