Overview
Project Director The Project Director will lead all phases of Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (DBFOM) transportation projects, serving as the key point of accountability for project delivery, safety, and performance. This role oversees large, complex infrastructure programs (typically ~$5B in scope) from pre-construction through completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budgets, and schedules. Key Responsibilities
Direct full project lifecycle management under DBFOM and alternative delivery models (P3, DB, DBF). Lead project execution teams, fostering collaboration among owners, designers, trade partners, and internal staff. Manage cost, schedule, risk, and quality performance. Serve as senior liaison with state DOTs and key stakeholders. Ensure compliance with safety, permitting, and environmental standards. Candidate Profile
15+ years of progressive heavy civil/transportation experience, including 10+ years in executive roles (Project Director, VP, COO). Proven success leading major highway, interchange, managed lanes, or rail projects. PE license required. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred (equivalent experience with PE acceptable).
