Overview
Join AZAD Technology Partners as a Project Manager and provide expertise and hands-on assistance to the Transmission Project Management organization, which executes and delivers most of the Transmission Capital Projects. The position will manage the integration and execution of assigned Transmission capital projects, such as telecommunication projects along with Non-Electric Facilities, and Security expense/capital projects. This is an emerging area, with a focus on workload planning and integration in conjunction with the transmission capital project process. While this position will be funded through the organization. This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid with onsite 1 - 2 days weekly as needed in Vancouver, Washington. Responsibilities
Manage the integration and execution of assigned Transmission capital projects, including telecommunication projects, Non-Electric Facilities, and Security expense/capital projects. Focus on workload planning and integration within the transmission capital project process. Collaborate with the Transmission Project Management organization to deliver projects successfully. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: A master\'s degree is preferred. Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, project management, business administration, computer science, or other closely related technical fields are preferred. 10 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor\'s degree. 12 years of experience is required with bachelor\'s degree not in applicable fields. 14 years direct work experience is required with no degree. Experience should include project management on projects related to: Utility Physical Security and Compliance; High Voltage Substation; and/or Telecommunication Systems. Note: Level 3 is typically responsible for medium-to large-sized projects (25M and higher cost). 5 years of demonstrated project management experience on projects using industry standard methods and tools for schedules, dependencies, resources, funding, and developing technical specifications and project plans. Experience accurately assessing and estimating project costs. Experience writing and understanding functional and technical specifications. Experience with developing project schedule timelines (planning, design, procurement, construction, testing). Experience with SharePoint or similar program. Experience with Visio or similar program. Experience with MS Project or similar program. Valid U.S. Driver\'s License is required. Preferred Skills
PMI or PMP certification. Demonstrated proficiency with ArcMap or similar GIS program. Experience with electric utility industry data. Working knowledge of the Electrical Substation environment, functional and technical specifications, and life-cycle management. About AZAD Technology Partners
